Chief Executive Officer, Anthony Viljoen, leads Andrada Mining with support from Chief Finance Officer – Hiten Ooka, Chief Strategy Officer – Frans van Daalen, and Chief Operations Officer – Chris Smith. This senior management has over 90 years combined experience in exploration, mining, engineering, chemistry and finance and anchored by a Board of Directors with expert knowledge on mining, geology and financial markets. The C-suite is supported by an executive committee constituted of geologists and engineers who provide the technical expertise required to achieve Andrada’s strategic objectives.

He previously served as the CEO and founding director of Lemur Resources, an Australian-listed company, and successfully co-founded Bushveld Minerals. Hiten Ooka, the CFO, brings over 14 years of technical, finance, and tax experience to his role. With a proven track record of senior management positions at prominent organizations such as Bushveld Minerals, Rand Uranium, Trafigura, and Eurasian Resources, Mr. Ooka possesses a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise. His invaluable insights and financial acumen directly contribute to Andrada Mining’s success, as he plays a crucial role in driving the company’s financial strategy and governance.
Frans van Daalen is a qualified mining engineer with over 20 years of operational and technical experience across multiple commodities. He has demonstrated his expertise in the field through his role as a co-founder and previous director of VBKom, a consultancy specializing in mining and industrial engineering. His extensive background equips him with a comprehensive understanding of the mining industry, enabling him to contribute effectively to various projects and initiatives within the sector.
Chris Smith is the Chief Operating Officer at Andrada Mining, bringing over 36 years of experience at various levels of management within the mining industry. He is a qualified chemist with a robust background in optimizing processes, large scale projects and developing teams. Mr. Smith has established a strong track record in sustainable management practices, demonstrating his expertise as an experienced General Manager. His leadership at Andrada Mining focuses on enhancing plant performance and delivering economic benefits, positioning the company for continued success in the competitive mining sector.
Glen Parsons is the Independent Non-Executive Chairman bringing over 20 years of international experience in company building, corporate finance, treasury, operational, and general management. Mr Parsons previously served as the CEO of Awale Resources, a TSXV-listed West African gold explore, and previous to that Mariana Resources Limited, a globally diversified exploration company listed on AIM and the TSXV. His extensive mining and investment banking background enables him to provide valuable insights and guidance to the team. His wealth of knowledge and expertise in the industry positions him well to contribute to the company’s growth and success.
Gida Nakazibwe Sekandi, with over 28 years of diverse experience in Namibia’s financial services, mining, renewable energy, and social sectors, serves on multiple Capricorn Group subsidiary boards, chairing committees on sustainability, ethics, and remuneration. She engages in social upliftment initiatives through the Capricorn Foundation, Rossing Foundation, and other non-profit organisations. Additionally, Ms. Sekandi chairs the Remuneration and Nominations Committee at Alpha Namibia Industries Renewable Power Limited and has held significant positions, including independent director and chairman at Allegrow Fund and Welwitschia Insurance Brokers. Prior to Rio Tinto Plc’s sale of Rossing Uranium Mine, she managed public relations and corporate affairs at Rossing Uranium Limited and Rossing Mine.
Laurence Robb is a Non-Executive Director at Andrada Mining, bringing over 45 years of experience in the mineral resource sector. He is a distinguished academic, and is currently a visiting professor at both the University of Oxford and the University of the Witwatersrand. A qualified geologist, Mr. Robb has also had practical experience as the Technical Director of Lerama Resources. His diverse background and industry expertise are invaluable assets to Andrada Mining, enhancing the company’s strategic direction and operational effectiveness.
Michael Rawlinson has over 30 years of mining finance experience. He holds other board positions, including chairman of Adriatic Metals, senior independent NED at Hochschild Mining, and NED at Capital Limited. He has a background as a mining specialist in the Investment Banking industry where he advised companies large and small specialising in capital markets transactions and M&A. He was a top-ranked mining analyst and a Partner at Cazenove & Co before moving into Investment banking where he worked as a Managing Director at JP Morgan Cazenove, was Co-Head of Mining and Metals at Barclays Investment Bank and was a founder of the boutique investment bank Liberum Capital. His extensive experience and accomplishments make him an indispensable board member.
Terence Goodlace is a seasoned mining executive with over 43 years of experience in the industry. He has held prominent positions, including Executive Vice President and COO at Gold Fields, CEO at Metorex, and Group CEO at Impala Platinum. Currently, he serves as a Non-Executive Director at Gold Fields and as Non-Executive Chairman at Kumba Iron Ore. His extensive background encompasses leadership roles in underground and open-pit operations across South Africa, Australia, Ghana, and Peru, highlighting his experience to the mining sector. His leadership approach encourages the promotion of best practices to create safe sustainable mining.
